Leo Varadkar visits The Mill

On Friday, October 1st, we were delighted to welcome An Tánaiste Leo Varadkar to The Mill.

During his visit, An Tánaiste took a tour of The Mill, listened to our exciting plans for the future (more to follow on that front soon) and he listened to presentations from two exceptional Millers Gary McAuslan of aCGT Vector, a cell gene therapy business that will revolutionise the speed and cost in which this treatment can be delivered to patients going forward. Secondly, he heard from Shane Monahan, founder of Limor a social audio app platform that allows everyone to create and edit casts/pod casts from their phone and share with their community.

The Tánaiste also listened to impressive presentations from the President of the Drogheda and District Chamber (Robert Murray) on his plans for the Drogheda Car Show which will take place on October 23rd and from Trevor Connolly who discussed BIDS progress to date and what positive developments they are planning for Drogheda in the future.

The Mill would like to thank Fergus O’Dowd and his team for facilitating the visit of both An Tánaiste and Minister Damien English last week and allowing us to showcase the positive contribution of The Mill and its exciting entrepreneurs that are working within the Drogheda region.
