We became Amazon Web Services “Activate” Partners!

Amazon Web Services (AWS) provides startups with the low cost, easy to use infrastructure needed to scale and grow any size business. AWS Activate is a free program specifically designed for startups and early stage entrepreneurs that offers the resources needed to get started on AWS. A number of Millers in the technology sector have availed of free AWS Credits in 2020.

Startups associated with an AWS Activate Provider are able to apply for AWS Activate Portfolio using their Activate Provider’s organization ID. If you are a startup interested in applying for AWS Activate Portfolio and receive up to $100,000 in AWS Cloud credits, ask your investor if they participate in AWS Activate and apply today!

ZCom Solutions is a software provider, focused on transforming organisations and governments with Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software solutions. Their partnership with Oracle NetSuite and OnBase by Hyland allows Zcom to combine their expert team with world class business transformation software to deliver solutions that guarantee results.

Armac Systems is at the forefront of new-generation, intelligent MRO inventory planning systems and solutions. With a strong focus on supporting airlines and MRO providers, they have saved millions for aviation organizations. Their solution has been developed in collaboration with Academic Institutions and industry leaders’ leveraging scientific research and the latest advances in big data business intelligent techniques.

…and saw Simply Fit Food progress to a new level!

The Mill would like to congratulate past Millers “Simply Fit Food” on joining the Around Noon healthy meals manufacturing group! We are wishing the best of luck with their business and are delighted they were able to scale and grow from The Mill.

We launched The Fintech Corridor

We received funding from InterTradeIreland, Louth County Council, and State Street to develop a Dublin to Belfast Fintech Cluster, alongside a great list of partners from the private and public sector.

We hired a manager to coordinate the initiative: Hilary Moran is now looking after all events, memberships and cluster development within The Fintech Corridor.(the new re-brand of M1 Payments Corridor)

“Illuminate” Female Entrepreneurship Programme is Now in it’s Fourth Year!

We received €140k Enterprise Centre Fund from Enterprise Ireland, and are also working on a new €600k Drogheda Digital Innovation Hub programme with Louth County Council

In June, Louth County Council successfully applied to the Border Enterprise Regional Fund to create a Drogheda Digital Innovation Hub in the ‘Youthreach’ building in Drogheda town centre. The Mill will manage the initiative which includes a number.of programmes and supports for startups and scaling companies.

On 20th November The Mill Enterprise Hub was approved for a €140k Enterprise Centre Fund from Enterprise Ireland, which would help with some overhead, consultancy and capital costs incurred during Covid-19 period.The purpose of this fund is to provide financial support to eligible enterprise centres who have been impacted by COVID-19.The funding will be used to create a Podcast studio, programme support for Millers and regional companies, and upgrades to our facilities.
