On March 30th, Connor Sweeney of InterTradeIreland will speak about the opportunity to win up to €100,000 as part of the Seedcorn Investor Readiness Competition. Louth companies have a strong tradition of competing – Armac Systems were the first overall winner thirteen years ago, and Aphix Software won the Leinster region in 2015.
Other winners include: Mcor Techologies in 2008, Oriel Sea Salt in 2011, and EVB Sports Shorts from Drogheda in 2014.
The Seedcorn competition mirrors the real life investment process and can greatly improve your ability to attract investment for your business by helping you and your business become investor ready. The competition is aimed at early and new start companies that have a new equity funding requirement and has a total cash prize fund of €280,000.
The http://www.intertradeireland.com/seedcorn/ competition is aimed at independent ventures incorporated on the island of Ireland (Ireland or Northern Ireland) in the seed, start up or early stages of business development and ideally targeting international markets. It is open for individuals or venture teams, who have created, manage and own such ventures. The promoters/founder entrepreneurs are to have played a major role in conceiving the venture, continuing to have key management roles and to own significant equity. Ventures which have already raised external equity in excess of €1m (or sterling equivalent) are not eligible.
Join us on March 30th at 12pm for coffee and a short talk on how the application process operates.
